Question: Can I get a Match.com free month?
Answer: From what we’ve seen in the past several years of reviewing online dating, it’s difficult to get a variety of discount options from Match. We’re not sure why that is.
A lot of people are interested in a full free month of Match because they feel like a free day or 3 free days or even a free week isn’t enough to really be able to tell if an online dating site is a good fit for you or not. It’s understandable.
So knowing that, you’re probably still wondering if you can get a Match.com free month, though?
We hate to be the bearers of bad news, but to our knowledge, there is no way to get a free month from Match. But to be fair, we don’t know of ways to get a free month of eharmony or Christian Mingle either. Although, we do know how you can get 12 free days on Christian Café, which is nearly half a month at least.
Here’s what we know is available to you at the moment on the site, in lieu of a free month on Match.
3-Day Free Trial on Match
So we can’t get you a free month, but we can get you 3 free days. If you follow this link, you can sign up for a free account and get those 3 free days. (You have to use this link, though, because you can’t get it if you just go to the homepage and set up an account.) For more details on the fine print of the 3-day free Match.com trial, be sure and check out our post explaining it. Don’t be surprised that they’re going to want your credit card number. But, you if you follow the instructions in the fine print, you won’t be charged if you cancel before the 3 days are up.
20% Match.com Discount
Again, we know it’s not free, but it’s something. Twenty percent off any membership can add up to a lot of savings if you decide to go with more than a 1 month membership. And, the general recommendation is to try online dating for at least 3 months in order to really give it a chance. If you do want the 20% off discount, use this link. Match.com’s 6-month Guarantee
While you’re considering your Match discount options, keep in mind that they offer a 6-month guarantee. Basically, if you don’t find someone within 6 months, they’ll give you 6 more months for free. (And you came here wanting one measly free month!) However, be forewarned: They make you jump through a lot of hoops to prove you have tried to find someone through the site but you were unsuccessful. Bad News: There’s no Match.com free month that we know of.
Good News: There’s 3 free days, a 20% discount, and a 6-month guarantee. Surely, one of those things will work, right?
