Question: Is Match.com Free?
Answer: Well, it just depends on what you mean by “free.” We’d love to offer a “yes” or a “no” and be done with it—and we’re sure that’s what you were looking for—but it’s really not so cut and dried.
Is Match.com free? Yes, it is free to create an account and kick the tires. You can log in, set up your profile, upload pictures, and view as many matches as you’d like. But if you want to communicate with those matches, that’s gonna cost you.
And if we’re talking price of membership, Match is definitely one of the more reasonably priced online dating sites. Depending on what deals are available at the time, you can usually get a Match.com membership in the $20-30/month range. There is a way to get Match free for a few days, though, if you really want to try it before you buy it: You can get a 3-day free trial. They’ll still want you to plug in your credit card information, though. Basically, when the 3 days are up, they’ll charge you for a membership if you don’t cancel ahead of time.
