One of the things that caught our attention in their interview is how they both had been on eharmony several times before they found each other. They said they would try it for a few months, get frustrated, and then go back to it later after some time had passed.
Here’s the thing: Take a break. Don’t put the pressure on yourself to keep at it until you’re married. It’s not the only avenue for finding love in your twenties and thirties, despite what the world may have you believe.
However, if you did try it out at some point, and it didn’t work out for you, maybe you should try it again. Surely, there are things you’d do differently the second (or third or fourth) time around?
A few pieces of advice from us:
1. Check out our tips to first-time online daters. See if there are improvements you can make to your profile, your profile pics, your settings, or your…dating technique.
2. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself. Keep your expectations low, so you’ll be pleasantly surprised if things go well.
3. Have fun. No, seriously. Think of it as an opportunity to learn more about yourself and others and have fun with it.
