So often people are willing to help out or to volunteer, but the biggest part of the battle is just finding out what the needs are. One of our goals at SingleRoots is to provide a list resources to help you connect so that none of us are without excuse.
Your local church is Ground Zero for finding out current needs. It doesn’t have to be a big, flashy organized event either. Many times there are quiet things that need taking care of, ones that don’t offer any accolades or even a thank you. There are widows who need errands run, teens who need a mentor, and moms who need childcare for a few hours.
However, some of us are actively involved in our churches but we also have a desire to spread our roots out further into the community, to dig a little deeper. It’s a great way to build relationships with those outside of the church, as well as an opportunity to invite people into the church.
