On Advocacy, Healing, and Singleness :: #SRRealLife with Anna Hopewell

When we launched SingleRoots in Real Life (#SRRealLife), I really didn’t know what to expect. I knew some local people would take me up on my offer, but I wasn’t sure beyond that. It was so exciting when I started to hear from people all across the South, as well as the East and West coasts.

But then when people from Scotland, Germany, Dominican Republic and other locations started reaching out, it became even more fun. Obviously, we don’t have the budget for me to globe trot to meet everyone, but I keep holding out for some sort of airfare fairy to drop a few international plane tickets in my lap. [Read more...]

SingleRoots in Real Life :: We Want to Meet You!

Tomorrow, I’m driving about an hour to a tiny Louisiana town to meet up with Sara Beth Fentress. This will be the second time we’ve ever been in the same room together, since she lives in Georgia.

The other time was in February when she and I both happened to be in Tennessee at the same time. We spent about two hours in Chattanooga cramming in as much conversation as we could and promising to get together again whenever our schedules allowed.
